Six-show Broadway in San Antonio season ticket packages are on sale now, and prices start at $150. Current Season Subscribers will receive renewal packets in the mail in the next two weeks but can view their renewal invoice online now at BroadwayInSanAntonio.com. Based on the hit DreamWorks film and the incredible true story that inspired it, Catch Me If You Can is the high-flying, splashy new Broadway musical that tells the story of Frank W. Abagnale, Jr., a teenager who runs away from home in search of the glamorous life. FLASHDANCE

June 18 - 23, 2013

Flashdance tells the inspiring and unforgettable story of Alex Owens, a working class girl from Pittsburgh with a dream of becoming a professional dancer. She works by day as a steel mill welder, and a bar dancer at night while aspiring to be accepted at a prestigious ballet academy. When Alex catches the eye of her boss Nick Hurley, their romance shows her the meaning of love and drives her ambition to pursue her dream. The original Paramount Pictures film was a worldwide smash hit that became a pop culture phenomenon, grossing over $150 million and featuring a Grammy Award winning soundtrack.

Flashdance– The Musical features a score including the hit songs from the movie, all of which became Top Ten hits on the radio around the world including the Academy Award- winning title song "Flashdance – What a Feeling," "Maniac," "Gloria," "Manhunt," "I Love Rock & Roll." In addition to these hits, 16 brand new original songs have been written for the stage by Robbie Roth and Robert Cary.

The Majestic Theatre is located at 224 E. Houston Street in the heart of downtown San Antonio, Texas. Built in 1929 by John Eberson for Interstate Theatres, the Majestic was intended to be the most modern building in South Texas and was the first in the state to be totally air-conditioned. The Majestic remains one of the finest examples of atmospheric theatres ever built, receiving National Historic Landmark status in 1993. Purchased in 1988 by the City of San Antonio, the theatre was renovated in 1989 at a cost of $15 million, and shortly after, in 1996, the stage was expanded, allowing the theatre to accommodate major Broadway musicals.
